Excel : Find & Replace (basic)

The Find & Replace option in Excel is a powerful tool that allows you to search for specific text or values in a worksheet or workbook and replace them with new text or values.

When you click on the "Find & Select" button in the Editing group of the Home tab, you will see the option "Find & Replace" in the context menu. When you select this option, the "Find and Replace" dialog box will appear.

The "Find and Replace" dialog box has two main sections:

Find what: In this section, you can enter the text or value that you want to search for.

Replace with: In this section, you can enter the text or value that you want to replace the found text or value with.

Additionally, you can specify whether you want to search the entire worksheet or a specific range of cells, and whether you want to match the case of the text or not.

The "Find and Replace" option also has a few advanced features such as:

"Find All" button: This button will search for all instances of the text or value and list them in the bottom of the dialog box.

"Replace" button: This button will replace the selected instance of the text or value with the replacement text or value.

"Replace All" button: This button will replace all instances of the text or value with the replacement text or value.

The Find and Replace function is useful when you have to make multiple changes to a large amount of data, especially when it is spread across multiple sheets. It is also useful when you want to make sure that you are replacing the right text or value, and not accidentally replacing something else
